Is the rack planner free?

Yes. The rack planner is free, with no account and no sign-up.

What rack sizes can I plan?

Any 19-inch or 10-inch rack from 1U to 60U: type the height and the rack redraws. Units are numbered like real rails, with U1 at the bottom, so the plan matches the rack in front of you.

Can I estimate what the rack will cost?

Yes. Add an optional cost to any item, including the devices on a shelf, and the total shows in the summary, on the PNG, and on the printout. It covers hardware only, not labor or cable. A shared link includes the prices unless you choose to share it without them.

Can I add devices that are not rack-mount?

Yes. Add a shelf, select it, and type the devices that sit on it, such as an ISP modem, a Lutron bridge, or a Home Assistant box. They count toward the hardware total but take no rack units.

Can I share the plan?

Yes. Click the share icon to copy a link and send it to anyone who needs to see your plan. You can also download the elevation as a PNG or print it.
